Terms of Use

Terms of Use

Effective date: August 31, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the Veymote app, Apple Watch app, widgets, screen-broadcast extension, and related website provided by Cosine Studio ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Veymote, you agree to these Terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement.

1. Eligibility and License

You must have the legal capacity to accept these Terms in your region. Minors may use Veymote only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Veymote for lawful, non-commercial, personal purposes on Apple devices that you own or control.

2. Control Only Devices You Are Authorized to Use

You may use Veymote only to discover, pair with, or control TVs, receivers, and network devices that you own, manage, or have express permission to use. You must not:

3. Compatibility and Feature Limitations

Veymote depends on protocols, permissions, and firmware behavior provided by Apple, TV manufacturers, receivers, and network devices. Models, regions, firmware versions, and network environments—even within the same brand—may support different features. We do not guarantee that every device can be discovered, paired, or controlled, or that power, volume, text, voice, apps, inputs, channels, playback status, casting, or mirroring will be available on every device.

Google Cast and generic DLNA are primarily media-casting technologies and are not equivalent to a TV platform's system-level remote-control protocol. Veymote hides or rejects operations known to be unsupported, but a TV manufacturer may still change device behavior through a firmware update.

4. Local Network and Security

Veymote requires access to TVs and receivers on the same local network. You are responsible for using a trusted network and protecting your Wi-Fi credentials, TV accounts, PINs, pre-shared keys, developer or ADB modes, and other authorization methods. Some older protocols may not support modern encryption. You should decide whether to enable them based on your own network-security needs.

5. Media, Screen Mirroring, and IPTV

You are responsible for all media, playlists, channel addresses, and screen content you import, play, cast, or mirror, and you represent that you have the necessary rights to access, use, and transmit them. Veymote does not provide television programs, IPTV subscriptions, or catalogs of copyrighted channels, and it does not authorize access to unlicensed content.

You must not use Veymote to:

6. Remote Pro and Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

Veymote may offer weekly and annual subscriptions through the Apple App Store. Available plans, prices, trials, taxes, and local currency are shown on the purchase screen and by the App Store. A subscription may renew automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Apple charges the payment method associated with your Apple ID.

If live products have not yet been configured, the app may show only a clearly labeled preview state and will not create a false entitlement.

7. Third-Party Services and Trademarks

Veymote may interact with Apple, Google Cast, TV-manufacturer protocols, media services, local-network devices, and URLs you provide. Third-party services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, technical limitations, and regional rules. We do not control their availability, content, pricing, or policy changes.

Apple, Apple TV, AirPlay, Google, Google Cast, Android, Roku, Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, Hisense, Philips, Panasonic, Fire TV, and other names and logos are the property of their respective owners. Veymote is an independently developed third-party app and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by those companies.

8. Acceptable Use and Intellectual Property

Except where applicable law expressly permits, you must not:

Veymote's code, product design, and original content are owned by Cosine Studio or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

9. Updates, Changes, and Discontinuation

We may release fixes, compatibility updates, or new features. We may also modify, limit, or discontinue features because of security, legal requirements, manufacturer protocols, Apple review requirements, or changes to third-party services. To protect devices and users, obsolete or unverified protocol operations may be disabled.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veymote is provided "as is" and "as available," without express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or compatibility with every TV. Veymote is not an emergency service, an accessibility life-support device, or an official remote from a TV manufacturer.

TV, media, network, power, and input operations may interrupt current use or affect other users. Before sending a command, confirm that you selected the intended device and that the surrounding conditions are safe.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cosine Studio and its members will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use Veymote, including loss of content, device configuration, network access, subscriptions, revenue, or data. Our aggregate liability for all related claims will not exceed the amount you paid for Veymote during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or the minimum liability required by applicable law, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

12. Termination

We may limit or terminate your access to relevant features if you violate these Terms, harm a device or network, infringe third-party rights, or if required by law or platform rules. You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time. You must cancel a subscription separately through Apple's subscription settings.

13. Governing Rules and Disputes

These Terms are enforced to the extent permitted by applicable law and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. Consumer-protection rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected. The parties should first attempt to resolve disputes in good faith using the email address below. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it will be handled by a court of competent jurisdiction under applicable law.

14. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms and revise the effective date at the top of this page. We will provide an appropriate notice of material changes. Your continued use of Veymote after updated Terms take effect means that you accept them, except where the law requires separate consent.
